Construction in 1973

The company Kunststofftechnik Mühlhoff GmbH&Co KG was established by Hartmut Mühlhoff in Cologne, district Ehrenfeld, in 1969.
He had his own warehouse built in Lindweiler, in the North of Cologne, in 1973.
All operating facilities such as tool machines, production, office and shipping were in one warehouse at that time.

The building was extended with a separate office in 1974.

An additional warehouse was built on to the existing premises at the Unnauer Weg 15 between 1974 and 1980. The own tool manufacture was developed here with a lathe, a milling machine and a drilling machine.
Raw materials, devices, tools and production machines were all under the same roof at that time.

In 1987, the company was offered the chance of a lifetime to buy the site at the Unnauer Weg 17.
The company moved into the existent administrative building and in the old office, the Quality Assurance department was housed.
Furthermore, the company Mühlhoff GmbH purchased the first completion machines for the assembly of various closures with sealing insert.
A tent was erected and acted as a storage space at the Unnauer Weg 17 at that time.
The completion machines as well as the tools were put in a small existing warehouse on the new site.

By 2000, the company Mühlhoff GmbH had a new warehouse built on the site at the Unnauer Weg 17. Until that time, a tent acted as a storage space.
New machines were bought for the production, tool manufacture and completion department and the introduction of a QM-system in accordance with DIN EN ISO was perfect.

The site at the Unnauer Weg 13 was bought in 2000. An own tool warehouse was developed in an existing storage space.
The company also had 5 silos built on the site to supply the 40 injection moulding machines automatically with plastic granules.
